We have our Annual Meeting coming up on February 10, during the last 30 minutes of rehearsal. There are 5 Board positions up for election, which will be for a 2-year term, except for the Vice President position which is for 1 year. Here are a few words about each role. And please feel free to talk to the current Board members if you’d like more information.
President
This position prepares the monthly meeting agenda, sets the meeting dates, and runs the meetings. Also performs oversight of the ECO’s financial activities, and represents ECO in the community.
Vice President
This position works mainly on fundraising ideas, including writing grants and researching donor funding. Acts as a coordinator for the volunteer grant writing team. Also runs the monthly Board meetings when the President isn’t available.
Treasurer
This position manages the finances of ECO, completes taxes and payroll, and provides financial accountability to the Board. Also creates and reports the monthly budget, and represents ECO in the financial community.
Recording Secretary
This position manages ECO internal documentation and records, and takes minutes at the monthly Board meetings. Also coordinates membership, attendance, and lists of personnel and membership events.
Music Librarian
This position manages all procurement, storage, and distribution of music owned or borrowed by the ECO.
